Welcome to the Mackay Baptist Church. At MBC we our mission is to be "Passionate lovers of God and others", which is derived from Matthew 23:37-40.

As a Church we are passionate about loving God, and other people. We want to express the love of God by reaching out to others with God's message of love and forgiveness. We want to discover, enrich and use the gifts God has given us in serving God, one another, and those who do not know God. We want to equip and build up one another for service. We want to support, encourage and strengthen one another in a warm open friendly Church family. We want to joyfully worship God with all that we do, have and are. We want to have prayer, and the word of God as the foundation of all that we do and are.

We are a warm, family-friendly fellowship with contemporary worship and a scripture-based doctorine. We welcome all languages and cultures with additional study notes prepared in Afrikaans, Brazilian Portugese, Indonesian, Chinese and English.

Please be advised that MBC has reverted to two services on Sunday mornings at 8:00am and 10:00am.

Property Project Delay 11/11/2009

Unfortunately the challenges of coordinating sub-consultant plans, council approvals and diminished resources over Christmas has led us to decide in the delay of the commencement of the relocation and construction phases of the project. Specifically, this involves the delay of our relocation to temporary premises which was to occur later this month and is now planned for 2010.

MBC Constitution Ratified 25/10/2009

At a special general meeting held on the 25th October, 2009, the proposed constitution for the Mackay Baptist Church was accepted unanimously by members. Whilst far from controversial, the changes provide an improved definition of core values and purpose for the roles of Elders and Deacons.
