Property Redevelopment Project

Mackay Baptist Church is currently undertaking a significant property redevelopment project. This project will see the clearing of all existing buildings at our current site on the corner of Shakespeare and Brisbane Streets with a new, purpose-built facility constructed. The new facility will have a modern, worship-focused assembly with seating for 320-350, dedicated spaces for Sunday School and teaching programs, fellowship space, creche, cry room, meeting and office spaces.

The facility will commence construction mid 2011 and is due for completion before Christmas 2011. This site will be updated frequently with news and related events as well as documentation associated with the project.

Property News:

Open for Service! 4/01/2012

On 1st January 2012, Mackay Baptist Church held its first church service at the new building, located on the Corner of Brisbane and Shakespeare Streets. Our first service was a great celebration of God's provision and love as we got to enjoy the comforts of the new building, whilst focusing our attention squarely on glory of God and His love for us. Our growing number of young families made quick use of the new cry room and creche facilities and our worship and technical ministries enjoyed having a brand new set of sound, audio and video tools with which to praise God.

All services will continue from the new building, including our prayer meetings on Sunday nights (6:00pm). Our church office and counselling service will be relocated on Saturday 7 January (9:00) - helpers are requested for this. Please contact the church office on (07) 4957 3784.
